About myself - 
I got into photography in 31st August 2008 and never stopped since. I love all kinds of photography especially portraiture and landscapes.

For me, portraiture is not about just shooting. I love to create and being in a studio give me a controlled place to create my ideal photos. Gear is just a tool and I believe in investing on techniques and skills.

Most of my photos are taken with a Canon 450D until recently I bought my full-frame Canon 5D Mark 2.  

I don't have a favourite setup or settings on my camera that I like, each one is different. At this moment I do weddings, commercial, profile shooting and stock photography. My real passion is on fashion photography and I hope you guys enjoy my photo and support my blog at samueltan.com.

Image 1 - Belle Theng - Miss Astro 2009. It's a fun and glamour shoot in on evening after work. It's fun to create with a friendly model and this is one of the many nice people I've met in my photography journey. The dress is from Beatrice Looi. Strobing technique is a single softbox from top-down. ISO 100, Shutter 1/125, Aperture F8. 

Image 2 - My Kuala Lumpur - This image is special to me because it's taken on my birthday from my room window. :) I celebrated my birthday at Traders Club and it is a memorable one. Just one of the many photos of KLCC taken by Malaysian potograher, but I hope mine stands out. Settings ISO 100, Shutter 1/160, Aperture F8. 

Image 3 - Mount Soeraksan, South Korea - One of the most beautiful place I've ever visited. The scenery is just awesome and breathtaking. One of the most memorable trip I've had.  Settings: ISO 100, Shutter 1/125, Aperture F9.
